Parents love league tables! Our statistics show that 75% of our visitors want to know which schools have achieved top exam results. Thus league tables are a very useful indication of a school’s academic standing. Furthermore, our tables are designed to be extremely user-friendly so that you can find the information you need quickly and easily. Tables are organised by school type, so that you can search for a top co-ed boarding school, or a top single sex school depending on your requirements.
However, when it comes to selecting the best school for your child, league tables do not tell the whole story about a school. Those schools near the top of each table are generally extremely selective on admissions and sometimes reject more than 75% of applicants. Additionally a highly academic school is not necessarily the right environment for many children. Parents need to bear in mind that schools lower down the tables may provide an equally exceptional education but cater for a wider ability range.
These tables show the results for A Levels or IB average points. We only take into account the top grades for A Level/Pre-U because most parents want a school which will get their son or daughter into a top university. Bear in mind that generally the higher up a table the school is, the more oversubscribed they will be and the earlier you will need to start planning ahead to prepare your child for entry.

Within each league table you can click on the school for contact details.
Each list contains other information including type of school and school fees (in 6th form).
Sometimes there are a few gaps in our data, because the information is not freely available or a school will not supply it. In general this applies to lower graded schools in the league table. There are around 60 top schools which will not supply their results to the national press. We generally obtain 95%+ of those missing results – so our tables are the only accurate and complete league tables available.
If you are seeking a particular school, which is not in the tables, try a geographical or name search in our "Find a School" section, where you might be able to view their results (but not their ranking if they are outside the table).
We specialise in advising parents on the best schools to target for their children so please contact us for a free consultation to discuss your child's education on +44 1622 813870 or by completing an Enquiry Form.
